Victoria Leonard-Blakley

Victoria Leonard-Blakley is the owner/operator of Beau Corps Studio.  She holds a Master of Fine Arts degree in Dance from the University of California, Irvine, CA, a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Dance for the United States International University in San Diego, CA, and a teaching certification from the Cecchetti Council of America.  Miss Leonard has a GYROTONIC Method Level 2 certification and a Pilates Method certification from the Body Arts and Sciences School. 

Miss Leonard started her classical ballet training with her mother at age 6.  She has performed and taught ballet in California, Arizona, Utah, Minnesota, Pennsylvania, and Guadalajara, Mexico.  In 1998 she was an embassador to Russia for dance teachers around the world, and is listed in Empire Who's Who in America. Her teaching experience spans 35 years and includes instruction at private studios, junior colleges and universities.  Victoria's introduction to Pilates was through Diane Dieffendorfer in 1986.  She continued her studies with Rael Isacowitz at Body Arts and Sciences and received a secondary Pilates certification 2005.  Her study of the Gyrotonic Methodology began 2002 and was certified in Level 1 in 2003, and Level 2 in 2004.  She is presently working on her certification for the Gyrotonic Jumping Sliding Board with her colleague, Pamela Yurosko, with the intention of offering these unique classes in the Spring of 2016. Victoria has two grown sons, and lives in Laguna Beach with her husband Mark Blakley.  

Barbara Howell 

Barbara Howell is a good standing member of the Pilates Method Alliance (PMA) who majored in Computer Science at Northrop University in Los Angeles, CA. She was a dedicated Figure Skater who retired from competitive Ice Dancing in 1993. In 1998, following a major back injury, Barbara began practicing Pilates, and now she is enjoying being a Pilates instructor helping her clients hit their goals and improve daily life. She received her Pilates certification from Body Arts and Science International (BASI Pilates) in 2006. She specializes in:

-Restoration of Range of Motion (ROM), Strength, and Function


- Increased Body Awareness

- Postural Re-Education
